Thank you so much for serving this year's North Shore Community Christmas Dinner! We have a number of different volunteer opportunities available.
**Please note that some volunteer opportunities will take place at Carson Graham Secondary School on December 14th, and some opportunities will take place on other days and in other locations.**
- Food Prep Team 1: Friday, December 13th, 4-8pm, 10 volunteers needed (*Kitchen skills required)
- Food Prep Team 2: Saturday 9am-1pm, 10 volunteers needed (*Kitchen skills required)
- Salad Team: Saturday 3-5pm, 7 volunteers needed
- Drinks Team: Saturday 3-7pm, 5 volunteers needed
- Plating Team: Saturday 5-7pm, 22 volunteers needed
- Serving Team**: Saturday 3:30-7pm, 30 volunteers needed (**Must be 16+ with customer service experience)
- Pre-Dinner Reception Hosts/Hostesses: Saturday 2:30pm-4:30pm, 6 volunteers needed
- Pre-Wash Team: Friday, December 13th, 4-7pm @ NSAC, 4 volunteers needed
- Dishes Team 1: Satruday 12-2pm @ Carson, 3 volunteers needed
- Dishes Team 2: Saturday 2-4pm @ Carson, 3 volunteers needed
- Dishes Team 3: Saturday 4-6pm @ Carson, 3 volunteers needed
- Dishes Team 4: Saturday 6-8pm @ Carson, 3 volunteers needed
- Bussing Dishes Team: Saturday 5-7pm @ Carson, 2 volunteers needed
- Dishes Team 5: Saturday 6-9pm @ NSAC, 4 volunteers needed
- Security Team 1: Saturday 2-6pm, 4 volunteers needed
- Security Team 2: Saturday 4-8pm, 4 volunteers needed
- Job Includes: Patrolling indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure safety of event goers and volunteers. Keeping people in the correct areas and helping with crowd control. Giving directions to washrooms and various event areas. Helping attendees into and out of the event. Handling various situations that may arise.
Setting up the decor, tables, chairs, lights, and entertainment space at Carson Graham Secondary School.
- Team 1: Friday, November 29th, from 3-6pm. (2 volunteers needed)
Team 1 needs to be at Carson Graham by 3:00pm to help string lights and decor in advance preparation for the Christmas Dinner!
- Team 2: Saturday, December 14th, 9-11am. (12 volunteers needed)
Team 2 needs to be at Carson Graham by 9:00am to set up tables, chairs and remaining decor.
- Clean Up Crew: Saturday, December 14th, from 7-9pm. (25 volunteers needed)
Helping tear down everything at the end of the day at Carson Graham Secondary School.
- Light/Decor Takedown Team: Friday, December 20th, from 2-5pm. (2 volunteers needed)
Helping takedown the Christmas lights and remaining decor left at Carson Graham Secondary School.
- Cookie baking will be preparing homemade cookies (NO nuts or peanut-butter please!) to go home with each guest. Each baker is asked to make 4 dozen cookies at their home. Please bring your cookies in a disposable container and have them prepared and delivered to the church before Wednesday, December 11th at 5:00pm! We are in need of 54 bakers!
