We are excited to hold a Day of Prayer for NSA and the next steps in our lead pastor search. Prayer and inviting the Spirit into these steps is crucial!

PRAYER ROOM

We plan to have 12.5 hours of non-stop prayer on Tuesday, October 15th from 6:30am -7:00pm.  Please click on the "register" button to sign up for a 30 minute session in our Prayer Room.  Only one name is required to reserve your time, but you are welcome to bring your friend(s), family, or small group to pray with you.

CORPORATE PRAYER & WORSHIP

We will also have the sanctuary open in the day and will hold three corporate prayer and worship times facilitated by the pastoral team at 6:30am, 12pm, and 7pm. Please mark the day and join together as a church family in prayer.

Do you love to sing or act?  Sign up to join the choir and/or drama team for our Christmas Mini-Production!  All ages welcome!

There will be short auditions after the Sunday services on September 15th & 22nd from 12:30-1pm in the Upper Room.  Please wait in the balcony until we call you into the room.

Rehearsals will be on Thursday nights from 6-7pm in the Sanctuary.  The performance will be on Saturday, December 7th.

NSAC has an ESL Bible Study Group meeting Monday evenings in the lower auditorium from 7-8:30 pm, starting September 30th.

Come join us to practice English together as we study the Bible, and build friendships in the church community.  Anyone 18+ is welcome to attend. Please bring yourself, a notebook, and a pen or pencil.

Men, you are invited to sign up now for our Thursday morning men's study called "Fighting Shadows".

6:30-7:30 am Thursday mornings, October 3rd to November 28th at the church.

This is a video series for men who are keen to grow in their faith and move past any sticking points that are keeping them from moving forward.

Fighting Shadows, will help men:

• overcome the temptations of escapism, passivity, or overcompensation;
• combat the most harmful shadows that men battle today, including loneliness, apathy, distraction, lust, and shame; and
• embrace masculinity as a God-given gift, not a curse to be avoided, suppressed, or battled.

In each session, we will have the opportunity to discuss topics that affect us all and learn together in an atmosphere of support and respect. We want every one of you to feel welcomed and encouraged to participate. These meetings are a great way to grow spiritually and meet other men who share similar values.

Moms of 'littles' and expectant moms...

Bring your kids (ages 4 and under) for a group 'play date' especially for you!  Relax in a fun, friendly and safe environment.  Connect with friends new and old, and bring some others with you too! 

No registration is needed. Just show up!

Mall Merriment is an event open to all our grade 5, 6 and 7 students. The Preteens will participate in a scavenger-hunt-style jaunt with their preteen leaders!

We will be meeting at Park Royal Shopping Centre from 7 to 9pm on Friday, October 18th, 2024. Drop off and Pick up outside the Home Sense at Park Royal Village.

Everyone must register in advance, so please sign up your preteens (Grade 5, 6 and 7 only) before Friday morning. Friends are always welcome but they must be signed up by Friday morning as well!

Please dress for the weather and come ready to hunt (comfy shoes are a must)!  

The 2024 Annual General Meeting will be on Sunday, October 20th, at 7pm in the Church Sanctuary.

Business at the AGM will include the presentation of financial statements, election of elders, and election of nominating committee members. The 2024 Annual Report and Reviewed Financial Statements will be emailed to the Membership list this coming week and printed copies will be made available upon request (info@nsac.bc.ca or 604-984-6422).

The Nominating Committee presents three new candidates for the position of NSAC Elder: Wendy Cheng, John Elliott, and Dev Hildebrand; and one current Elder up for re-election to another two years of service: Clive Harvey. Their biographies, along with those of the elders in the middle of their service term, will be available in the Annual Report.
