Gentlemen, join us for a weekend of worship, teaching, feasting, rest, and fun! It's a great time to go deeper with God and with each other. 

Our 2024 Men's Retreat will be held November 1-3 at Camp Squeah in Hope, BC (new location this year). Come spend a weekend getting away from the city and connecting with other guys in our community. 

Cost is $200.  Scholarships are available. Early Bird discount ($15 off) is available until October 10th.

$80 is non-refundable if you cancel after October 23rd. No refunds after November 1st.

There is still space to join our ESL Bible Study Group meeting Monday evenings in the lower auditorium. 
Please note the time change: we will be meeting 6:00-7:30 pm!

Come join us to practice English together as we study the Bible, and build friendships in the church community.  Anyone 18+ is welcome to attend. Please bring yourself, a notebook, and a pen or pencil.

Bring your kids (ages 4 and under) for a group 'play date' especially for you!  Relax in a fun, friendly and safe environment.  Connect with friends new and old, and bring some others with you too! 

No registration is needed. Just show up!

We are excited to hold a Day of Prayer for NSA and the next steps in our lead pastor search. Prayer and inviting the Spirit into these steps is crucial!

PRAYER ROOM

We plan to have 12.5 hours of non-stop prayer on Tuesday, October 15th from 6:30am -7:00pm.  Please click on the "register" button to sign up for a 30 minute session in our Prayer Room.  Only one name is required to reserve your time, but you are welcome to bring your friend(s), family, or small group to pray with you.

CORPORATE PRAYER & WORSHIP

We will also have the sanctuary open in the day and will hold three corporate prayer and worship times facilitated by the pastoral team at 6:30am, 12pm, and 7pm. Please mark the day and join together as a church family in prayer.

Mall Merriment is an event open to all our grade 5, 6 and 7 students. The Preteens will participate in a scavenger-hunt-style jaunt with their preteen leaders!

We will be meeting at Park Royal Shopping Centre from 7 to 9pm on Friday, October 18th, 2024. Drop off and Pick up outside the Home Sense at Park Royal Village.

Everyone must register in advance, so please sign up your preteens (Grade 5, 6 and 7 only) before Friday morning. Friends are always welcome but they must be signed up by Friday morning as well!

Please dress for the weather and come ready to hunt (comfy shoes are a must)!  

Join us for our NSA Kids Family Potluck evening! This is a wonderful chance for our church families to connect with one another and have fun together. Bring a dish to share (nut-free) that your family loves. We will enjoy a potluck style dinner, and then play some games together.

The 2024 Annual General Meeting will be on Sunday, October 20th, at 7pm in the Church Sanctuary.

Business at the AGM will include the presentation of financial statements, election of elders, and election of nominating committee members. The 2024 Annual Report and Reviewed Financial Statements have been emailed to the Membership list and printed copies will be made available upon request (info@nsac.bc.ca or 604-984-6422).

The Nominating Committee presents three new candidates for the position of NSAC Elder: Wendy Cheng, John Elliott, and Dev Hildebrand; and one current Elder up for re-election to another two years of service: Clive Harvey. Their biographies, along with those of the elders in the middle of their service term, are available in the Annual Report.

In loving remembrance of Jim Ewart, there will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00pm.  Reception to follow.

We extend heartfelt condolences to the Ewart family. Jim was a long-time member of NSAC, and his presence in our community is sorely missed. We pray that God's love will surround you and bring you comfort and peace in the days and weeks ahead.

Our next Lamplighters Luncheon will be held downstairs at NSAC on October 28, 2024 from 11:30am - 1:30pm. If you are 55 or older, you are welcome to join us! Gary Watt will be our speaker.

Registration will take place October 13th & 20th in the foyer, before the 9am service and between the services. There will be no sign up the Sunday before the luncheon. The cost per person is $20. Please pay when you register. Friends are welcome, but please register them also.

NEXT MONTH:  
Our final luncheon for 2024 will be a fully catered turkey dinner with a Christmas theme on Monday, November 25th.  For this event tickets will be $25.  There will be no December luncheon.
