We are excited to hold another Day of Prayer on Tuesday, January 14th!

PRAYER ROOM

The prayer room will be open from 7am - 7pm. Please click on the "register" button to sign up for a 30 minute session in our Prayer Room.  Only one name is required to reserve your time, but you are welcome to bring your friend(s), family, or small group to pray with you.

CORPORATE PRAYER & WORSHIP

We will also have the sanctuary open in the day and will hold a corporate prayer and worship gathering at 7pm. Please mark the day and let's join together as a church family in prayer!

On Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30am, women of all ages come together in order to study the Bible, encourage and support one another, pray together, and celebrate the God-given uniqueness of being a woman.

Our next study, "When You Pray" by Kelly Minter, will begin on Wednesday, January 8th. Cost: $25

Our 2025 Young Adult's Retreat will be held January 10th - 12th at camp Douglas on the sunshine coast.

Come join us! In this season, let's reorient towards Jesus and ground ourselves again in him. 

We'll carpool to Camp Douglas, where we'll stay for 2 night. There will be  prayer, worship, and free time to explore the beautiful Camp Douglas. Meals and accommodation provided.  

Anyone age 18 - 30 is welcome to attend! 
Cost is $80

On Sunday, January 12th there will be a Bake Sale after each service (9am & 11am) to support our LGCA students going on a service trip to Guatemala! Please bring cash for purchase by donation.

NSAC has an ESL Bible Study Group meeting Monday evenings in the lower auditorium from 5:30-7:00 pm.

Come join us to practice English together as we study the Bible, and build friendships in the church community.  Anyone 18+ is welcome to attend. Please bring yourself, a notebook, and a pen or pencil.

Would you like to learn more about mental health? Would you value connecting with others? Sign up for The Sanctuary Course and explore topics including: mental health and mental illness, stigma, the recovery journey, companionship, self-care, and the role of community. Each theme is covered from a psychological, social, and theological angle, and each session includes a short film that tells the story of a person of faith with mental health challenges.

There is no homework, but it’s recommended that you read the short sessions in the course book before each group gathering. $10 for printed course book (or download the PDF for free). At GriefShare you’ll receive valuable guidance and tips, leading you to relief, comfort, and peace of mind.

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Join Pastor Anne on this weekend retreat whose purpose is to make space to be with God.  We will have several short sessions as a group throughout the weekend where we will engage in a prayer, be introduced to a spiritual practice and then released with ample time to be alone with God. 

This retreat is for anyone wanting to carve out time in the early New Year to draw closer to God through spiritual practices, silence and solitude.

Working with NSAC Missionaries Paul & Jina Lee (Missio Dei Discipleship Ministries).

We're looking for 10-12 adults to:

• run Vacation Bible School
• mentor Paul's Biblical Studies students
• do some compassion/benevolence ministry in Nairobi

Cost: $4250 including flights, transportation, accommodation, and meals.

On Saturday, December 14th 409 guests attended the annual North Shore Community Christmas Dinner.  All who came enjoyed a delicious Christmas meal with all the fixings beautifully served in a festive atmosphere with loads of high-quality entertainment.  This event is the highlight of their year for many vulnerable people in our city.  

Thank you for your generous support and hard work put into this year's dinner! We are so grateful for the many volunteers and donors that made this community event possible.
