Dear Friends and Family,
In January, I will be taking a big and exciting step across the world to Australia and I am looking for some help!
I have been accepted into the YWAM
Newcastle program (Youth With A Mission).
This is a six-month commitment where I dive
deep into knowing God and others around me.
The program is split up into two sections; one
that is the lecture phase, and the other is the outreach phase. In the lecture phase, you learn to hear God, about whom He is and how to grow in your faith. In the outreach phase, I could be sent anywhere in the world to share my testimony and build even more relationships.
The best part about this program is that it is sports themed! Sports have had a huge impact on my life, and I have been involved in them for as long as I can remember. I personally can’t recall a time in my life when I wasn’t involved in some form of sport and most times playing with more than one team at a time. While on the YWAM base in Newcastle, we will be participating in weekly community sports, sharing God through sports, all the while still being competitive and playing the sports that I love. While on my outreach, I will continue to grow in my faith and play sports with that community, while negotiating barriers of religion and languages.
Having personally reflected over these past few months, I have come to realize that there is more for me out there and that God has placed this on my heart for a reason. This is a perfect program for me as Australia has been a dream of mine for a while, and to have it catered to sports couldn’t have been more of a blessing to me. I believe that God has big plans for me and this is just the beginning of what He has in store for me.
I am currently working full-time to support this journey I will be on, but I am still looking for support from friends and family. I would appreciate your support through prayer, as well financially.
