Hello!
So far the journey into becoming staff at YWAM has been quite the rollercoaster ride. From moments of confusion and tears, to joys and finally some answered questions. This experience has grown my faith and trust in God more than I expected, it has also strengthened my character and increased my understanding of the word perseverance.
You all have been so encouraging and supportive walking with me through this journey and I am extremely grateful for all the prayers, emails, texts and financial support. Thank you thank you thank you!
As many of you are aware, since coming back to Vancouver after doing my DTS, I have been working full-time and saving up for the time I will be working as a full-time missionary. I have also been holding fundraisers and asking people in my life to seek the Lord and ask if he would have them partner with me financially in this endeavor.
Throughout these past few months, I have continued to pray and seek the Lord for his provision and to help comfort me in the area of finances specifically as I attempt to find housing and transport and all that I’ll need when I get to Kona.
If I’m honest, I find that very difficult to release to Him. However, I have seen so many incredible answers to prayer already, including specific donations from friends and family, more hours at my current job, one extra special gift from my good friend, and my tax-return, as well as being able to go to the UK and visit before embarking on the adventure of full time missions at YWAM Kona.
I will be leaving for Kona on June 1st, 2018!! I will be volunteering on base for a month before I do the Leadership Track through the summer months. I will then be on staff for the September DTS.
Before I leave for Kona, I will continue to work fulltime at my current job and I will be attending the NSAC women’s retreat in April! (I’d love to see some of you there!!)
If you have any questions about this crazy journey or you just want to hang out, I would LOVE to see you before I go. Again, thank you so so much for your support. It means so much to me to have such an amazing community!
