2016 has come to a close so fast and each week of this school seems to go quicker than the last. We have had some awesome lectures and its been amazing to see the students grow as they learn more and more about God. We have also had a few weeks away from Brisbane volunteering at the Gold Coast, team building in Toowoomba and evangelizing in Byron Bay. Soon we will head back to base to finish up lecures and prepare for our 8 weeks of outreach in different parts of the world.
We have divided the shcool in to 6 teams for the outreach portion of the school. The teams will go to Japan, Berlin (Germany), Detroit (USA), China, Peru and my team will be staying here in Australia!! Having done outreach in Australia on my DTS last year I am so excited to go out again, this time to lead a team, and re-visit towns and re-connect with the people there, but also have some new adventures! We will go to four towns for two weeks each; Boonah and Miles in the state of Queensland and Casino and Coffs Harbour in New South Wales. The team has six memebers including myself and my co-leader and we are all getting very excited! After a week of team-building challenges together, I can honestly say I have never seen a team with this much love and compassion for each other. To see the humility and willingness of the students and how excited they are to serve is such a blessing and I'm looking forward to see what God will do in and through us. Some prayer requests would be for rest, peace and energy as we prepare as a team and also provision as I will be getting my driver's licence and learning to drive here in Australia. Praise the Lord that the students on the team have all raised enough funds to go on outreach! I am still short about $700, support in prayer or finances would be so appreciated - I am almost there! My co-leader is in the process of fundraising as well and is still in need of about $2000. We have so much faith that God will provide this and I'm excited to see how!
