Dear NSAC family,
I wanted to thank you for all of your love and support this past year as I studied the Bible and was trained up as a Bible teacher.
By His provision and grace I was able to help lead a 3-month-long bible school in the Solomon Islands this summer. Every day I had the gift of being able to help disciple students, lead daily lectures, co-lead a small group, train the next generation of Bible teachers, and learn more of what it means to live out 1 Corinthians 13 love.
It was an incredibly challenging season physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and yet, through it all, louder than every challenge that came was the truth of God’s faithfulness and love that never left, but rather, pursued and transformed everyone in His path. He is so good! (to see more of my testimony from the Solomon Islands, check out my blog: https://leapoffaith2016site.wordpress.com/2018/10/08/water-from-the-rock-outreach-reflections/)
This fall I am back at YWAM Kona (Hawaii) completing “Counter Culture School of Apologetics,” my final course with the U of N. So far, the course has been amazing, an answer to so many of my prayers. Through this time I have been able to learn what it is to defend the Truth of the Gospel with love, and acquire tools to reach the unreached (i.e. studying world religions, logic, relativism).
After this school, beginning in early January, I will begin a 2 year commitment of staffing and teaching in Bible schools with YWAM.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Pray for rest and rejuvenation: physically and emotionally I have been teetering on the edge of burnt out for the past weeks (13 months without a break).
- Pray that I might learn what it means to do everything in Love as I am a student in this program; that I may truly live out the Gospel in all that I do.
- Please pray for financial provision for January, when I transition to full time staff with YWAM as a Bible staff/teacher.
Thank you for partnering with me this summer to help reach the Solomon Islands with the Good News of the relentless love of God. I am honoured and humbled to be able to call you all my home church family.
With love,
Dani
